thank you! It's usually my zoom lens 75-300 for bird shots. My macro can't quite reach and even 300 mm is tough sometimes. Zooming out really far is great for depth of field though. I can use f8 or f10 and the background still gets nicely blurred.
This one's a tamron and it can be troublesome at times. Purple fringing for one loves to creep into my pictures from f7-any wider. Also I love minolta and would recommend them! My macro is from there (second hand from ebay) and it's wonderful quality.
