Northern Mockingbird, known for imitating bird calls, other nearby sounds (and around here) squirrel grumbles.
I think herons and mockingbirds are in vogue Autumn is the best season to spot them! Nice photo!
They're definitely to be seen all over northern florida. I just got another heron shot yesterday! Thanks.
great one I love it. What's lenght of lenses you use for shoots like that?
thank you! It's usually my zoom lens 75-300 for bird shots. My macro can't quite reach and even 300 mm is tough sometimes. Zooming out really far is great for depth of field though. I can use f8 or f10 and the background still gets nicely blurred.
Thanks I'm thinking about buying new lens about 210 mm from minolta. But it's a dream for now and I'll have to use 105 mm a little longer
This one's a tamron and it can be troublesome at times. Purple fringing for one loves to creep into my pictures from f7-any wider. Also I love minolta and would recommend them! My macro is from there (second hand from ebay) and it's wonderful quality.
